Bennville Equine

Dedicated to  creating equine partnerships

We usually have several horses available at any given time, ranging from those recently started undersaddle, to those well-established undersaddle and generally working anywhere from First to Third level. No matter the horse, we strive to give our young horses the best possible foundation to their riding horse careers, through proper training, in which enjoyment and enthusiasm for their work is of utmost importance, proper exposure to new situations, good nutrition and care, and plenty of time to "just be a horse", all to create a happy and well-rounded athlete. Please scroll through what we currently have available, and feel free to email any questions for for footage of the horses. Unstarted prospects are also listed at the bottom of the page.
Are you hoping to horse shop in Germany, but not sure where to begin? As we immigrated from Germany, and continue to buy some horses directly from German breeders, we have plenty of contacts and can help you in your search if you are in need of assistance, please just give us a call!

Versatility in a handsome package...

This 2013 Viscount/Escudo gelding has great potential no matter what discipline you'd like to take him in. He has three great gaits, a nice steady and easy contact and great balance to continue to progress in his dressage training. Currently he is doing all the second level movements, is showing an aptitude for the lateral movements and half-pass, and has started to school flying changes. He has shown at both training and first level with scores in the high 60s and low 70s, and was well behaved off property. He gladly hacks, and also happily pops over fences. He'd be great to develop for the hunter or jumper rings as well, as this boy also has a big and scopey jump. No matter the discipline, his work ethic will help you go far, and he is also very kind and gentle to handle, and loves his one-on-one time.

This lovely Floriscount/Quarterback mare sold quickly, though it was no surprise, with her super sweet and willing temperament and great rideability. After having a foal in 2020, she was brought back into work undersaddle in March 2021 and sold in early May 2021 to a repeat buyer from the Bennville program. We wish the new pair much success in the future!

This lovely Finnigan/Londontime mare who grew up at Bennville was sold in early 2021 to a wonderful mother-daughter duo who train nearby, so we look forward to having her relatively close by and getting to see her develop!

This elegant mare with make a talented show ring partner. Imported in foal in 2018, she raised a lovely colt for us in 2019, and was started back into work undersaddle at the start of 2020. By the popular stallion Finest (goes back to the highly rideable stallion Florestan) and out of a Londonderry/Weltmeyer dam, she crosses some of the top dressage lines into one package. At her breed inspection (presented in hand), she received high walk and trot marks, with the judges complimenting her for her elasticity, rhythm and freedom of gaits. At 16.1 hands, she will make a lovely match for a female rider. She went to her first show in September 2020, showing Training Level, and came home Open Training Level Champion, with scores including 70.5% and 71.7%.

Our 2019 foals were a lovely pair of colts, and both were born without an complications, and we were pleased with their growth and development this past summer. A lovely black colt by Don Martillo, out of a Finest mare (left), combines some top dressage lines into a light and refined package, and was an overall 8.3 foal at his inspection. The flashy chestnut with 4 white socks (middle and right), is by the exciting young Verband stallion Finnigan, and out of our proven broodmare Wilma. He looks like he will grow into a bigger horse, but shows lovely light-footed and athletic gaits, and was an overall 8.25 foal, and was called back as reserve champion hunter foal for his lovely gaits and inquisitive, yet confident demeanor in new surroundings at the inspection.
